Delete4 CHILDREN KILLED IN ROSELAND FIRE, 2 ADULTS HOSPITALIZED.
ReplyDeleteThis event took place in Roseland, Chicago at an apartment complex, early Monday morning September 8, 2014. The apartment fire took the lives of 4 children and injured 2 adults. No one is really sure how it happened but they're still investigating the tragedy. The apartment building has had a host of code violations and failed multiple building inspections over the past 9 years. The most recently failed inspection was this past June. In the report inspectors said the owners failed to install smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. They also found water damage, broken doors, and furnace issues. All of these dangerous things that no one would really pay attention to really need to be more looked into so that things like this will not happen again.
It is sad that tragedies like this happen. I agree that we should learn to pay more attention to things that could be dangerous to ourselves and others. That's why laws such as fire codes are important!

How sad. I can't imagine a man murdering his own children. The article states that the five children's bodies were found in garbage bags on the side of the road.
DeleteIt is hard to believe that anyone could do that to another human being. I guess it shows us to always be careful what we do and who we trust.
ReplyDeleteScientific discoveries like this can help us to understand more about the world we live in.
